Match is the Rolls Royce of fostering services. If all fostering services did what Match does the care population would be so much happier.

I’ve been in care for 9 years and had 3 different foster placements. I live with my foster carers, A and G and I’ve been part of their family for just over a year. I’m planning to stay there for good. All foster children should experience this.

I feel like part of the Match family. I know everyone on the team and they know me. Some people in care would say that they don’t want a social worker in their lives, I don’t feel like that. The people at Match are proud of me, they think I am brilliant and that makes me feel good. They see me as a young person who they want to spend time with and not as a young person who is looked after. Since I’ve known Match my confidence has grown.

M and I are on the Children’s panel and we are involved in almost everything that happens at Match. We have chosen the staff, interviewed the foster carers and written the Children’s Charter. We have a say in how things go.

I have lived with my foster carers for nearly 4 years. I feel like I am their own child. Being treated this way is important to my future and helps me feel like I ‘belong’ in the same way my friends do with their family.

What can I say; this agency is the best agency we have been with through out our 8 yrs in Fostering. Previous to this agency we had been with 2 other agencies, so we have had the experience to know good from bad

I want to be successful. I want to go to University and learn how to design cars. I’m not going to use being in care as an excuse not to succeed.

I know them when they are working but also when they’re not working, such as when we are having a fun day or an activity day. They expect big things of me.

There’s plenty of training to attend & the support is there also, not just from Match but I find the other carers very wiling to share their experiences with you.

Everyone gets loved the same and everyone gets treated the same.

They go far above expectations, never known an agency to do so much. Excellent!
