Match is a friendly, family-run fostering agency. It was started in 2012 by Carrie and Simon Marsh. Carrie’s parents were foster parents and Carrie counts the young people who she grew up with as her brothers and sisters. This experience inspired Carrie to start up her own fostering agency, based upon her own values of family membership.

Enjoy Different Types Of Fostering
Whether you want to foster long-term, short-term, or just provide short breaks to other foster carers, our foster care services are here to help. We match you with young people who fit into your personal circumstances and lifestyle. With our fostering agency, you can be the foster parent you’ve always wanted to be in the way that’s right for you.
Transferring From Other Fostering Services
We offer a full transfer service that lets you move from your existing foster agency to ours. We make the process simple and drama-free by following a simple, approved protocol. Remember, Match does not expect you to complete daily or weekly records, leaving you free to focus on what’s most important: providing loving homes to children and young people. In terms of finance, you will transfer over to Match on your current existing rates should they be higher than the equivalent Match rate.
Get An Assessment
Are you interested in fostering a child? If so, our assessments are the perfect place to start. We make it easy to tick all the legal boxes. On our fast-track plan, you could join our network of foster carers in as little as four months. Unlike other agencies, we don’t use independent assessors, meaning you get to know the social worker who will support you once approved. Building up this relationship also helps us to find the right children for you and your family.
Money And Finance
Learn how our foster care agency supports you financially when you start fostering UK children and young people. Discover how much support we offer compared to other private fostering agencies. Get regular social worker visits, support group meetings, comprehensive training, and generous fees and allowances.

Frequently Asked Questions
To become a foster parent, you’ll need to be a UK resident (or have indefinite leave to remain), and be able to take care of a young person full-time. To qualify, you’ll need to go through an assessment, something a local foster care agency, such a Match, can provide. During the assessment, you’ll receive training and support, designed to help you on your foster care journey.
Foster care agencies provide loving homes to children who are unable to live with their families. Short-term foster parents usually look after children while plans are made for their future. Respite or short break foster carers provide a safe place for children to stay a few nights. Long-term foster care usually means looking after young people until they become adults.
Foster parents have many of the same responsibilities as parents. They must maintain the health of their children, ensure that they go to school, be their advocates, and help children to make sense of their emotions.
