How Our Social Workers Support You
Our supervising social workers offer a wide range of support to Match foster carers. Their role is to help you provide the best possible care, and to make sure you feel supported along the way.
This includes regular supervision visits and phone calls, practical advice on day-to-day care, and emotional support when things feel difficult. They help you plan and access training, prepare for meetings and complete your annual review.
Your social worker will also speak up for you and the child in your care, working with the child's local authority social worker, schools and health services. If extra help is needed, they can bring in our therapeutic practitioner, registered nurse or education workers.
With low caseloads, our social workers have time to build real relationships with carers. And outside office hours, our 24/7 support line is answered by Match staff who know your family. Find out more on our Supervising Social Worker page, try our finance calculator, or get in touch with our team.
