Joining the Match Community
Every Match foster carer is automatically part of our foster carer community. There is nothing extra to sign up to; as soon as you are approved, you will be invited to our support groups, training sessions and events.
Support groups are a relaxed chance to meet other carers, share experiences and pick up practical tips. They are often combined with training on topics that matter to carers, led by our staff or our multi-disciplinary team.
We also run family activity days throughout the year, as well as our much-loved annual Christmas ball. These events bring foster carers, their own children and the children in their care together to have fun.
Your supervising social worker will let you know about upcoming groups and events, and can introduce you to experienced carers in your area. Many carers say the friendships they make through our community are one of the best parts of fostering. Find out more on our Foster Carer Community page, try our finance calculator, or get in touch with our team.
