At the time of writing, there are around 82,000 children in the UK who are in the foster care network. Overall, this is around 44,000 foster families.

Yes. Foster carers in the UK are entitled to a fostering allowance. The amount foster parents get paid depends on the duration of the foster placement along with the age of the child. 

It’s possible to foster up to four children at a time, though the number of children you foster and the type of placement is also flexible towards your needs.
