What resources are available in the foster carer support network to help me succeed as a foster parent?

Everything You Need to Succeed

Our foster carer support network brings together people and resources to help you succeed as a foster carer.

At its heart are our support groups, where carers meet to share experiences and learn from each other. Groups often include training on topics such as managing behaviour, supporting education, and caring for children who have experienced trauma.

You can also draw on our multi-disciplinary team. Our therapeutic practitioner, registered nurse and education workers offer expert guidance on children's emotional health, physical health and schooling. Your supervising social worker is on hand for regular one-to-one support, and our 24/7 line is answered by staff who know your family.

Finally, our family activity days and annual Christmas ball give everyone a chance to relax and have fun together. These events help children feel part of a wider Match family, too. Find out more on our Foster Carer Community page, try our finance calculator, or get in touch with our team.
