What types of 24 hour fostering support services do you offer for new foster carers?

Round-the-Clock Help for New Carers

Your first placement is a big moment, and it is natural to have questions at all hours. Our 24 hour fostering support makes sure new carers always have someone to turn to.

Our out-of-hours line is answered by experienced Match staff who know your family. You can call for practical advice, such as what to do if a child will not settle at night, as well as for help in more serious situations. If needed, we will contact other services, such as the child's local authority, on your behalf.

During the day, your supervising social worker is your main point of contact. They will be in touch often during your first placement, and will follow up after any out-of-hours call to make sure you have everything you need.

New carers can also lean on our multi-disciplinary team, foster carer support groups and experienced carers in the Match community. Together, this means you are never on your own. If you would like to talk it through, get in touch with our friendly team or request a free brochure.
