Help in Difficult Moments, Day or Night
Yes. Our 24 hour fostering support is there for exactly those moments. Whether a child has not come home on time, is very upset, or you are facing a situation you are unsure how to handle, you can call us any time of day or night.
Our out-of-hours support is provided by Match staff, not a call centre. The person you speak to will already know your family and the children in your care, so you do not have to explain everything from the start. They can give you advice, talk things through calmly and, where needed, contact other services on your behalf.
No question is too small. Many carers call simply because they want reassurance that they are doing the right thing. We would always rather you called us than worried alone.
After a challenging situation, your supervising social worker will follow up with you to see how you and the child are doing, and whether any extra support or training would help. Find out more on our 24 Hour Support page, try our finance calculator, or get in touch with our team.
