Our Droitwich Spa and Stoke-on-Trent offices are more than just administrative spaces – they’re vibrant hubs of community engagement.
With an open-door policy at the core of our ethos, we extend a warm invitation to all. We actively create an environment where foster carers, children, our colleagues, professionals, and anyone interested in fostering can simply drop in, grab a seat, and connect over a cup of tea and a biscuit.
In both locations, we’ve created dedicated seating areas where conversations flow freely, where stories are shared, and where bonds are formed. It’s a space where roles dissolve and humanity takes centre stage.
Our doors are always open, welcoming individuals at any time that suits them, ensuring that everyone feels included.
Drop-In Sessions For Foster Families – Open-Door Policy
As noted above, one of the highlights of our community engagement efforts is our drop-in sessions. These are held at our Stoke office every first Friday morning of the month.
Here, our foster carers and colleagues come together for heartfelt conversations, sharing experiences and supporting one another.
Our drop-in sessions aren’t just about networking, as we work towards building a community rooted in empathy and understanding. It’s also not uncommon to see a couple of our youngest members including babies joining in, spreading joy and reminding us of the importance of our work.
A Chance To Discover The Different Types Of Fostering
Fostering comes in various forms, each catering to different needs and circumstances. That’s why we offer a range of fostering options to suit diverse situations.
- Sibling fostering ensures that brothers and sisters can stay together, providing them with a sense of stability and continuity during challenging times.
- Respite fostering gives full-time carers a well-deserved break, allowing them to recharge while their children are in safe hands.
- Our long-term fostering offers a sense of permanence and belonging to children who cannot return to their birth families, providing them with a stable and nurturing environment.
Not sure which type of fostering might suit you? By attending a drop-in session, you can learn more about the different types of fostering, plus develop a supportive network by meeting other foster carers in your area.
